Hello!
I’m Nisan (pronounced knee-sun), a 26 year old grad student in Sociology based in Ankara, Turkey. I started sewing in December 2019, and I haven’t been able to stop since! I have a deep, deep love for trousers (bonus points if they are pleated), soft tailoring, and vintage silhouettes.
I’ve been sharing all my creations and daily musings about sewing over at @the.social.fabric on Instagram since the May of 2020. This blog was born out of my frustration with the 2200 character limit of Instagram captions, which I hit on every single post I share :’) Here you can expect to find more detailed posts about the projects I make, plans I have, and pattern / product reviews.
